The HiAce offers advanced engineering, more powerful engines, enhanced handling and drive, and car-like passenger comforts
than ever before, but it still gives you the same quality, reliability, and durability you've come to expect of the HiAce.
Trademark of the professional.
HiAce has been building its reputation for longer than most have been building
their businesses. And as any professional knows, when you build a better product,
people stick with you. For over sixteen years in Australia, HiAce has been
the most respected van in the trade with over 3.7 million vehicles sold. Toyota
listened to what buyers wanted now and in the future, whether government,
fleet or private operators and set out to build a van that would meet the
high expectations of its operators. HiAce will move you and your load with
your choice of two reliable and tireless engines. Both perform with impressive
efficiency, which is vital in today’s competitive business world where reduced
running costs add up to greater profitability. You have the choice of a twin
cam VVT-i equipped 2.7 litre petrol engine or a hard-working 3.0 litre turbocharged
intercooled common rail diesel. With typical Toyota Quality, Durability and
Reliability (QDR), this is the vehicle that is sure to get the job done. And
wearing the HiAce badge, it projects a look of professionalism to your customers
that will take your business to another level.
Toyota Hiace Loads of cargo space
With longer wheelbases than ever before, the LWB and SLWB HiAce models have incredible interior space. The squared off overall
body design not only looks stylish and professional, it optimises the interior room. The radiator and engine is positioned to
optimise interior room, while the small bonnet allows easy checking of fluids. The smart body design of the LWB means a large
6.0 cubic meters of cargo capacity whilst the SLWB van, with its wide body and high roof, it has a full 9.8 cubic metres of
cargo volume, making it the biggest HiAce van ever.
Toyota Hiace LWB or wide body, high roof Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB)
HiAce's 2 stylish body types are the result of dedicated research and development pursuing superior crash safety while still
increasing cargo space. All Vans are available in a Long Wheelbase (LWB) and a high roof, wide body, Super Long Wheelbase
(SLWB), and the Commuter Bus comes standard in the SLWB. All 3 body types boast loads of occupant and cargo space because the
engine has been shifted forward from the previous model, and there is more space than ever before between the rear wheel
housings.
Toyota Hiace Aerodynamic design
Straight line stability and Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) are major factors in driver fatigue – particularly when you
drive all day. That's why the HiAce features an aerodynamic design. Extensive Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) analysis
resulted in a sleek windscreen angle, increased body rigidity, and integrated air dams at each side of the front bumper
regulating air flow, giving you a smooth and quiet ride.
Toyota Hiace Semi Semi-Bonnet
With its forward control mounted engine, the HiAce is categorised as a Semi Semi-Bonneted Van (Semi SBV). Featuring a small
and convenient semi-bonnet, you have easy access to brake fluid, radiator coolant, and window washer water, making essential
day-to-day care fast and easy.
Toyota Hiace 2 rear side doors on SLWB Van
Thanks to double side rear doors on the Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB) Van – one on either side – access to your cargo has never
been easier. Like the Van itself, the doors are wide and tall, and the addition of a rear door strap on all models makes
loading and unloading much easier than ever before.
Toyota Hiace Dual SRS airbags standard
Don't leave safety to chance. The HiAce comes standard with driver and front passenger SRS (Supplemental Restraint System)
airbags on every model. The airbags work together with the front pre-tensioning seatbelts to help keep both you and your
passenger safe in frontal collisions.
Toyota Hiace 12 Seat High levels of crash safety
Thanks to the latest in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), the HiAce has excellent safety features. Upper and lower Y-Frame
(Crocodile) chassis rails greatly enhance frontal impact absorption, strengthened front door impact beams enhance protection
against side intrusion, and a brake pedal link mechanism allows the Brake Booster to rotate away from the steering column and
brake pedal in a frontal collision.
Brisbane Toyota Hiace 12 Seat 3 point seatbelts
With a bus-load of people, passenger safety is paramount. That's why every new HiAce Commuter Bus comes standard with 3 point
lap sash seatbelts for all 14 occupants. Of course, HiAce Vans also feature 3 point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR)
seatbelts for driver and passenger, plus a 2 point lap only seatbelt for the centre seat occupant.
Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) optional on all HiAce models
All HiAce models feature front ventilated disc brakes and rear drums, with an Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist
(BA) available as an option at additional cost. ABS brakes help you maintain steering control in an emergency situation by
preventing your wheels from locking up. Brake Assist is designed to assist the driver in emergency braking by applying
additional braking pressure to maximise braking performance.
Toyota Hiace 12 Seat reduced running costs
When you drive for a living, there's no room in the operating budget for a vehicle that's expensive to run. That’s why the
HiAce boasts low running costs. With minimum down time thanks to unprecedented reliability, the HiAce does its job with a
minimum of fuss and expense.
Brisbane Toyota Hiace 12 Seat 2 engines to choose from
HiAce will move you and your load with two reliable and tireless engines, and they’ll perform with impressive efficiency,
vital in today’s competitive business world where reduced running costs add up to greater profitability. Both engines are Euro
IV emissions compliant ensuring excellent reliability and efficiency.
You have the choice of a twin cam VVT-i equipped 2.7 litre petrol engine. Peak power of 111kW comes in at a relatively low
4,800rpm with 241Nm of load-lugging torque at 3,800rpm.
A 3.0 litre turbocharged intercooled common rail diesel is available across the HiAce range and this engine is purpose built
for commercial vehicles - they’re yet another powerful reason to choose HiAce. The direct injection turbo diesel engine
produces 80kW at 3000rpm and a lofty 286Nm of torque between 1200 and 1600rpm. All HiAce diesel models also come with an
engine compartment silencer to minimize noise emissions from September 2007 production vehicles onwards.
Brisbane Toyota Hiace 12 Seat 4 speed auto available across the range
No matter what your cargo, you can choose the convenience of an automatic
transmission. A 4 speed automatic transmission is now available across the
entire HiAce range – including turbo diesel Commuter Buses and Long Wheelbase
Vans. The transmission features electronic line pressure control based on
engine speed, delivering smoother shifts and reducing 'shift-shock'. It also
boasts a driver-friendly gated shift lever on the dashboard, complete with
shift lock mechanism and key interlock to prevent unintended shifts.
